The story so far

I started working with Argyll & the Isles Tourism Cooperative in October 2022 to help them grow their brand awareness and reach. The goal: Inspire as many visitors in the UK and abroad as possible to explore the spectacular region of Argyll & the Isles.

As with a lot of DMOs, budgets were limited and we mainly relied on the power of organic content creation and social media to drive the brand’s reach. Combining a mix of user-generated content on social media, keyword-specific blog articles and SEO website optimisation, we’ve helped them increase their audience to 46k+ across social media.

Additionally, I supported the DMO in engaging its membership by integrating automated email campaigns and targeted social media engagement with member businesses. When crafting SEO-optimised blog articles, we balanced providing key visitor information and mentioning member businesses, supporting membership acquisition and increasing search engine ranking. A win-win!

This example shows that by employing a mix of digital marketing tactics, an increase in content reach, website visits and social media following can be achieved – despite having limited budgets!
